About Us

Among other projects, we conduct translational research at CES.
This means that we transfer research findings generated in our group to the educational systems of other countries.
We continue to develop new projects and test new concepts with our partner countries.

We operate an ETH Reform Lab for Education Systems Engineering through the CEMETS Summer Institute, where we work together with experts from partner countries’ education and employment systems as well as local research groups to initiate, support, and measure the impact of evidence-based projects. This requires an interaction of several scientific disciplines and approaches.

Due to our proven competence in evidence-based policy advising, we also offer technical support and consulting to actors in the education and employment systems.

In addition, we also work with partners from Switzerland to address selected research questions. In this context, cooperation with practice is of great importance.

Our Services

We are committed to supporting policy makers and reform leaders from around the world with our knowledge, research and experience. That is why we carry out application-oriented research projects together with our partners from practice, for example:

To support education system analyses with recommendations for reforms (reference examples: Serbia; Pacific Alliance Countries);

To assess education system strategies and draft legislation (reference examples: Serbia, Chile, Moldova, Benin, Colorado),

To help execute implementation projects (reference examples: US states Colorado, Indiana, California, Serbia, Nepal).

We look forward to hearing from you.
