CES welcomes new team member

As of February 2024, Borja Pérez-​Viana Martinez joined the Chair of Education Systems as Postdoc.

Borja is a development economist and a postdoctoral researcher. He holds a PhD and a Master in Development Economics from the University of East Anglia (UK), and an MSc in Economics from the University of Manchester (UK). His work has focused on studying decision making, and evaluating the effectiveness of poverty-reduction initiatives in low-income countries. Prior to joining ETH, Borja worked as an applied researcher at the IÉSEG School of Management (France), Universität St. Gallen (Switzerland) and the University of East Anglia (UK), among other research institutions. In these positions he designed and implemented complex evaluations and experimental studies in LMICs, especially in Sub-Saharan Africa.
